    Tourism and Culture Minister Jupally Krishna Rao stated that the Telangana government, led by CM Revanth Reddy, is working on creating an attractive tourism policy to attract investments and create job opportunities. Minister Jupally attended the FITUR-2024 international tourism trade fair in Madrid, Spain, where he shared the steps being taken by the Telangana government to develop tourism and interacted with international media representatives.

    During the event, Minister Jupally announced that under CM Revanth Reddy’s leadership, the government plans to allocate 3,500 crore rupees for infrastructure projects in the tourism sector. Additionally, the Central Tourism Department has sanctioned 300 crore rupees, which will help in completing various tourism infrastructure projects. Telangana State offers a wide range of tourism options, including medical, health, adventure, sports, spiritual, and eco-tourism. The state is also known for its historical buildings, forts, heritage sites, arts, artifacts, diverse food flavors, and museums. Ramappa Temple and Buddhavanam, recognized by UNESCO, are examples of the state’s cultural and spiritual wealth.

    Minister Jupally expressed that Telangana State is ready to welcome modern-day tourists who seek new experiences and unexplored places. The state aims to become a prominent tourism brand and invites tourists to explore its rich heritage. The Telangana Tourism Department showcased artifacts, handicrafts, and traditional performances such as Bonals, Poturajulu acrobatics, Kuchipudi, Bharata dance, and drum artists at their stall during the event. Additionally, tourists were introduced to the flavors of Telangana pastries.

    Miss World Spain (2022) Paula Prez Sanchez visited the stall set up by the Telangana Tourism Department along with other foreign tourists. The FITUR event saw participation from 8,500 delegates representing 131 countries. Minister Jupally also held discussions with prominent travel and tourism stakeholders to promote tourism in Telangana. The stakeholders were briefed on the government’s plans to increase the number of foreign tourists, positioning Telangana as “The Heart of the Deccan.”

    The Principal Secretary of the Tourism and Culture Department, Shailaja Ramayar, the Director of the Tourism Department, K Nikhila, and MD Ramesh Naidu also participated in the programme.
