S Niranjan Reddy, the Agriculture Minister, stated that people will not trust the Congress party after witnessing the visible development in the state. He made these remarks during a press conference at the Telangana Bhavan party office in Hyderabad.
Niranjan Reddy mentioned that the Congress rule in Karnataka was marked by darkness. The promises made by the Congress party in Karnataka are slowly disappearing, and within just six months of coming to power, the state has been devastated.
Highlighting the struggles faced during the fight for Telangana, Niranjan Reddy credited the BRS (Bathukamma Rastra Samithi) for achieving the formation of Telangana. He also emphasized the government’s efforts in implementing administrative reforms, establishing 33 districts, and setting up one medical college in each district. The state has made significant progress in education, healthcare, access to drinking water, irrigation, and power sectors. Niranjan Reddy proudly stated that Telangana has developed at an unprecedented pace since Independence.
Niranjan Reddy accused the Congress leaders of insulting the people of Telangana during their demand for a separate state. He referred to their derogatory remarks comparing Telangana to idli or dosa, which deeply hurt the sentiments of the people.
In conclusion, Niranjan Reddy stated that people will not forget the suffering and difficulties they endured during the rule of Congress. The wounds caused by Congress remain fresh in people’s minds, and they will not trust the party again.
