Hyderabad: Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy stressed the importance of giving proper training to revenue officials. He announced that a new job chart will be created for the department officials. To make this happen, a committee is being formed to study the best practices from other states.
During a meeting with 272 special grade deputy collectors on Sunday, the minister said that every three months, meetings will be held at both the State and district levels. These meetings will include revenue officials and legal teams to help protect government lands that are involved in court cases.
He also mentioned that, before introducing new revenue laws, the government plans to assign a revenue officer to every revenue village in the State. Additionally, he promised that by the time of the Dasara festival, mandal revenue officers who were reassigned due to the Assembly elections will be returned to their original posts.
Lastly, Reddy pointed out that in a pilot project conducted in Tirumalagiri mandal, Nalgonda district, 4,380 acres of land were surveyed to clean up land records. It was found that in 1,300 of those acres, the pattadar passbook holders did not even have possession of their lands.
