The Basic Animal Husbandry Statistics 2022 shows that the country produced 221.06 million tonnes of milk in 2021-22 with a growth rate of 5.29%. Rajasthan is followed by Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Andhra Pradesh in milk production.
This achievement was celebrated on World Milk Day. Rajasthan’s animal husbandry industry is thriving thanks to the state government’s welfare schemes. The government has helped cattle-rearers in various ways to support their business and increase milk production. As a result, Rajasthan has become the top milk producer in India.
