Hyderabad: Meru International School started its annual inter-school festival, Merutsav 2024. Many students from across the city joined in with excitement.
The event began with competitive games in Table Tennis, Badminton, and Basketball. These matches showed off the sporting skills of young athletes.
Merutsav 2024 is themed around the five pillars of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG): Planet, Peace, People, Prosperity, and Partnership. This theme aims to teach students about global issues and sustainable development.
The grand opening ceremony featured leaders from Meru International School. They spoke about the importance of sports, education, and community in developing future leaders.
More than 40 schools and around 2500 students from grades 1 to 12 are taking part in Merutsav 2024. The festival includes many sports and events that will continue until August 3rd. It offers exciting competitions and cultural exchanges for everyone involved.
The event ensures fair play with Table Tennis referees from the Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI) and Basketball referees from the Basketball Federation of India.
