    Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar handed out appointment letters to selected candidates during a Mega Job Mela held by the police department in Khammam on Sunday. The event, which took place at SBIT Engineering College, saw 150 companies offering placements to unemployed youth. Around 15,000 people applied for the 8,200 available positions.

    Kumar praised the Commissioner of Police Vishnu S Warrier for organising the job fair and giving opportunities to those who had only completed their schooling. He also highlighted how Khammam was turning into an IT hub, which would create quality jobs for graduates in relevant fields. The minister emphasized the importance of young people in building the nation and called for more employment fairs in the future.

    The event was attended by SBIT Educational Institutions Chairman RJC Krishna, Mayor Punukollu Neeraja, DCCB Chairman Kurakula Nagabhushanam, ZP Chairman Lingala Kamal Raj, SUDA Chairman Vijay Kumar, District Collector VP Gautam, Municipal Commissioner Adarsh Surabhi, and Trainee IPS officer Avinash. CEOs, Directors, and HR managers of various companies also participated.
