The GHMC announced that 11 Yashoda Hospitals in Hyderabad paid Rs 5.11 crore in property tax for the upcoming financial year, receiving a rebate of Rs 26.92 lakh. The hospitals met with GHMC Commissioner Ronald Rose to hand over the cheques as part of the Early Bird Scheme, which offers a five percent discount for early payment of property tax.
The scheme started on April 1 and requires payment before April 30 to qualify for the rebate. The rebate applies only to the current year’s property tax. With just one week left, GHMC’s Citizen Service Centre and circle-level offices will be open, including Sundays, from 8 am to 8 pm for property tax payments.
This initiative aims to encourage early payment and ease the process for taxpayers. The hospitals’ participation in the scheme highlights their commitment to fulfilling their tax obligations promptly. The GHMC continues to work towards efficient tax collection and providing convenient payment options for citizens.
