In Medak, a woman died after jumping into a temple’s Pushkarani because she was upset about her husband’s affair with her sister. The incident took place in Kuchanpally in Havelighanpur Mandal. The woman’s husband tried to rescue her but is now receiving medical treatment. Local residents were able to pull the couple out of the pond.

The woman, identified as Makkala Lavanya (25), and her husband Yadagiri (30), were from Medak district. They had come to Kuchenpally to attend a function at a relative’s house. Lavanya’s sister, Swapna, is widowed and it is alleged that Yadagiri was having an affair with her. During a party where alcohol was consumed, Yadagiri unknowingly revealed this to his friends, not realizing that his wife was present. This upset Lavanya, causing her to run to the temple pond and jump in. Yadagiri followed suit in an attempt to save her.
