    Dr. MCR HRD Institute in Hyderabad has started a two-week training program on ‘Media Management for Journalists and Media Professionals from Sri Lanka’. The program is sponsored by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, and is part of the Indian Technical & Economic Cooperation (ITEC) initiative. It is attended by 30 senior journalists from Sri Lanka, including media advisors and secretaries.

    During the inaugural function, Dr. Shashank Goel, IAS, DG of the Institute & Special Chief Secretary to the Government of Telangana, emphasized the crucial role media professionals play in society. He highlighted how journalism and media relations are essential for democracy and transparency in governance. Dr. Goel also discussed the impact of social media and artificial intelligence on the media industry.

    Dr. Madhavi Ravulapati, the course director, presented more details about the training program, emphasizing the importance of equipping journalists with the latest skills and knowledge. Professor Abbas Ali, a senior academic advisor, also participated in the event.
