Hyderabad has been experiencing heavy rainfall for the past four to five days, and the Meteorological Department has warned that the rain will continue for another two to three days. The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is actively working to address the issues caused by the heavy rains.

GHMC Mayor Vijayalakshmi mentioned that the GHMC control room is operational 24/7 and all staff members have been deployed in the field for the past five days to resolve public complaints promptly. The control room has received 900 complaints so far.

The construction of drainage systems, known as Nala works, is almost completed and the GHMC control room remains operational round-the-clock, Mayor Vijayalakshmi said.
