Hyderabad Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi and Malkajgiri MP Eatala Rajender laid the foundation stone for new development projects in Begumpet Circle on Tuesday. These projects will cost Rs 59.40 lakh. The Mayor assured that the state government is fully committed to improving the city and will provide all necessary support.
The development work includes the construction of CC roads in three areas of Monda Market Division, with a budget of Rs 32.50 lakh. Additionally, a VDCC road will be built in East Maredpally for Rs 25.50 lakh. Another Rs 1.40 lakh is allocated for repairing the GHMC Park-2 Compound Wall and other essential repairs.
During the event, the Mayor highlighted that the government has given Rs 700 crore to GHMC in the past four months, which is the highest amount ever allocated. She thanked Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy for this support. She also announced that Rs 25 crore will be allocated for development projects in each zone under GHMC. The Mayor assured that GHMC is dedicated to improving infrastructure for the benefit of the city’s residents.
Several officials attended the event, including Deputy Mayor Mote Srilatha Shobhan Reddy, Cantonment MLA Ganesh, Corporator Deepika, Deputy Commissioner, and GHMC officials.
