NSS volunteers and students from Vivekananda Engineering College in Karimnagar recently organized a “Matti Ganapati Rally”. The rally took place from Kaman Circle to Telangana Chaurasta with the aim of promoting the use of earthen Ganesha idols to prevent water pollution.
During the rally, the participants chanted slogans advocating for the use of eco-friendly idols. The event was well-received and College Additional Director B Govinda Rao commended the NSS volunteers for their efforts.
The Matti Ganapati rally was attended by several notable individuals including K. Laxman and Mechineni Pawan Rao. Heads of various departments, faculty members, NSS volunteers, and students were also present at the event.
The rally serves as a reminder of the importance of protecting our environment and finding sustainable alternatives to traditional practices. By using earthen Ganesha idols, we can contribute to reducing water pollution and preserving our natural resources.
