The polling in the 12 constituencies of the Warangal district went smoothly on Thursday, with only a few minor incidents reported. The fate of the 189 candidates will be decided on Sunday during the counting.

The voting began at 7 am and continued late into the night as many people patiently waited for their turn at various polling stations. However, urban voters showed less enthusiasm in casting their votes. In the afternoon, there was a surge in voter turnout in the urban areas of Warangal East and West constituencies. Some parties were rumored to have distributed money to attract voters during this time.

There are speculations that the ruling BRS party had a secret understanding with the BJP to ensure the defeat of former minister Konda Surekha. It is believed that the BRS supported the BJP candidate in a last-minute deal as they had no hopes of winning themselves. Konda Surekha reportedly confronted BRS nominee Nannapuneni Narender at a polling station, accusing him of joining hands with the BJP and threatening Congress workers.
