The ceremony was attended by Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao, State Chairman of the Warehousing Corporation Nageswara Rao, and MLA Veerlapalli Shankar. Speaking on the occasion, the MLA stated that the selection process for the governing body was carried out transparently and collaboratively. He urged the committee to remain accessible to farmers, provide support, and protect them from exploitation by middlemen.

MLA Shankar highlighted the state government’s initiatives for farmers, including waiving loans worth ₹180 crore for 24,000 farmers in the constituency. However, he criticized the BRS government for neglecting public welfare and accumulating debts of ₹7 lakh crore over ten years.

Addressing education concerns, he mentioned the poor condition of the government college in the town. To address this, construction for a new college was undertaken with the assistance of donors, ensuring that students from underprivileged backgrounds have access to better facilities. Efforts are being made to complete the construction quickly.

Shankar also shared plans for broader development in the constituency. With the support of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, an integrated school was established in Kondurg. Additionally, steps are underway to construct a stadium on 10 acres in Kondurg mandal to support athletes. He also announced that funds have been approved to modernize the mini stadium in Shadnagar with better facilities.

The MLA requested Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao to establish an agricultural market committee in the backward Kondurg mandal to boost development in the region. He also proposed setting up cold storage facilities for farmers, to which the minister responded positively.

The event was attended by several dignitaries, including State Chairman of the Warehousing Corporation Nageswara Rao, former MLAs Pratap Reddy and Kishtayya, members of the new governing body, farmers, and other local leaders and activists.
