    Surgeons at Kamineni Hospitals in Hyderabad successfully performed a complex surgery called the Bentall procedure on a 35-year-old patient named Ramisetty Annamma Naidu. She was brought to the hospital with chest pain and difficulty breathing, and doctors found that she had Marfan syndrome, a connective tissue disorder. The Bentall procedure is used to treat patients with Marfan syndrome who have diseases of the aortic valve and ascending aorta. During the surgery, doctors removed the aortic valve and part of the ascending aorta, and replaced them with a composite graft. The patient did not require blood transfusions during or after the surgery, and was allowed to walk on the second day post-surgery. She was discharged on the fifth day and can resume normal activities within two weeks.

    The procedure took about 5-6 hours to complete and was performed by a team of expert surgeons, including Dr. Rajesh Deshamukh and Dr. Vishal Khante, Senior Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgeons, Dr. Suresh, Senior Cardiac Anaesthesiologist, and Dr. Smrithi, Cardiac Anaesthesiologist. Bleeding is a major risk factor in this surgery, but good surgical technique can mitigate the risks.
