Marcus Stoinis gave an update on his injured finger after the IPL match between Punjab Kings and Lucknow Super Giants. He was hit by a straight-drive and had to leave the field, unable to field or bowl at that time. Stoinis said that the finger is better now, but scans will be done to know the severity of the injury. He was adjudged as the Player of the Match for smashing a 40-ball 72 in the first innings, helping LSG amass the second-highest team total of 257 in the history of the league. He also took the wicket of Shikhar Dhawan during Punjab’s run-chase.
At the post-match presentation, Stoinis talked about building partnerships with Ayush and taking responsibility of batting in the middle order and finishing it off. He also discussed bowling on a flat wicket and how his change of pace helps him on his home wicket.
