Political campaigning in Telangana is about to intensify as national and neighboring state leaders arrive to support their party candidates. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Telangana on November 7 and 12, while BRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao and Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah will visit Kamareddy this week. The clash between Congress’ TPCC chief A Revanth Reddy and KCR is set to take place in this constituency. KCR will file his nomination on November 9 and hold a public meeting at Kamareddy, while Revanth Reddy will file his nomination the next day, with Siddaramaiah addressing a public meeting as the star campaigner.
Siddaramaiah will emphasize the Congress’ achievements in Karnataka and counter the BRS criticism of unfulfilled promises, explaining how his government has implemented most of their election promises. In Telangana, the Congress has also made similar guarantees and is relying on them. These guarantees include Mahalakshmi, Rythu Bharosa, Gruha Jyothi, Indiramma Indlu, Yuva Vikasam, Cheyutha, and the announcement of the BC declaration during the public meeting.
Revanth will also file his nomination in Kodangal on Monday, as it has always been his preferred constituency. Starting from November 7, he will tour the constituencies in Mahbubnagar by helicopter and hold public meetings at Alampur and Gadwal.
Additionally, former Union Minister Salman Khurshid will address a public meeting on November 9, specifically targeting Muslim voters. The party will also announce a minority declaration. The Congress has issued 97 B forms to party candidates, but has withheld the forms for Boath, Chevella, and Wanaparthy candidates. They are currently reviewing the chances of victory for the announced candidates and may make changes in these three constituencies.
