The ZP chairperson of Manthani Municipality in Peddapally district, Putta Shailaja, has been removed from her position after a vote of no confidence by the councilors. The motion was passed on February 1, specifically targeting Shailaja.
Previously, Manthani Municipality had 13 councilors, with two from the Congress party. However, recently, seven councilors switched their affiliation from the BRS party to the Congress.

As a result, the Congress party now has the majority in the council and is expected to appoint a new chairman for Manthani Municipal.
