Malla Reddy University hosted an exciting 24-hour national-level hackathon on August 23-24, 2024. The event attracted more than 600 participants from 30 different universities and colleges across India. These students came together to participate in a challenging and intensive coding competition.
The hackathon began with a keynote speech from the University Vice Chancellor, Dr. VSK Reddy. He spoke about the importance of keeping up with the latest developments in Computer Science. Dr. Reddy also highlighted key areas such as Data Science, Generative AI, Artificial General Intelligence, and Cybersecurity, stressing how crucial these fields are in today’s technology-driven world.
Registrar Dr. M. Anjaneyulu also addressed the participants. He talked about the importance of improving coding skills and encouraged students to keep refining their abilities to meet the ever-changing demands of the industry.
Other leaders from the university, including Dr. Kamatham Harikrishna, Dr. Meeravali, Dr. GS Naveen Kumar, Dr. G. Anand Kumar, and Dr. B. Raja Sarath Kumar, shared their thoughts as well. They emphasized the value of practical coding challenges in higher education and how they help prepare students for real-world problems.
The hackathon provided a lively platform for students to showcase their talents, work together, and solve real-world issues through innovative coding. The success of this event shows Malla Reddy University’s strong commitment to advancing education and preparing students for the future of technology.
