Hyderabad: Amid increasing political tensions between the ruling Congress party and the opposition BRS during the budget session, BRS senior leader and former minister CH Malla Reddy made some surprising comments on Tuesday.
In a casual conversation with the media in the Assembly lobbies, Malla Reddy mentioned that he is willing to join the Congress party if they offer him a Cabinet Minister position, specifically with the Home portfolio. However, he expressed doubts about whether Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy would agree to his request for such a significant ministerial role.
Malla Reddy shared that if the BRS had come to power for a third term, he would have been appointed as the Home Minister. He had even made plans to produce films and launch a TV channel, but the BRS’s defeat in the Assembly elections disrupted all his plans.
Furthermore, he clarified that he has never evaded paying income tax. In fact, he claimed to be the only person in India’s history to have filed an FIR against IT officials.
