Nagarkurnool: A big event was held on Tuesday at Teja Convention Hall to help unemployed youth in the Nagarkurnool Parliamentary constituency. The program focused on creating job opportunities and encouraging young people to start their own businesses. Many important leaders and officials from the area attended the event.
The event was inaugurated by Nagarkurnool MP Dr. Mallu Ravi, Minister Jupally Krishna Rao, and other key figures like MLCs, district collectors, and MLAs. They highlighted the role of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), which are important for self-employment and economic growth. The officials encouraged young people to think about starting small industries in their local areas.
Dr. Mallu Ravi explained that the program was organized with the help of public sector representatives and local NGOs. It aimed to guide marginalized groups, such as SC, ST, BC, and others, towards job opportunities. The main goal was to inform the participants about various welfare schemes from the Central and State governments and show how these schemes could help in creating jobs.
Dr. Ravi mentioned that efforts are underway to set up industries in the region, as there is currently a lack of medium and large-scale industries. He also announced the creation of a Skill Development Centre, funded through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. These centres will provide job training and skills, with seven centres planned, one for each district.
Additionally, a special SC/ST Hub Cell will be established to assist marginalized communities further. Dr. Ravi also announced plans to create Police and Army training centres to help young people prepare for recruitment in these services.
Minister Jupally Krishna Rao praised the initiative and stressed the need to provide youth with skills that are competitive on an international level. He pointed out that while government jobs are limited, the private sector has many opportunities. The Minister promised Rs 50 lakh from his personal funds to increase awareness about government welfare schemes and job opportunities. He also asked district collectors to put together a booklet that lists all the available job options for young people.
The event was attended by other important figures like MLC Damodar Reddy, Achampet MLA Dr. Vamsi Krishna, Wanaparthy MLA Thudi Megha Reddy, Kalwakurthy MLA Kasireddy Narayana Reddy, and officials from Nagarkurnool and Wanaparthy districts.
