TDP leader Magunta Raghava Reddy has decided not to run in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He announced that his father, Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy, will be running instead. This decision was made after TDP president Chandrababu Naidu suggested that having a senior member of Parliament win would make it easier to request funds from the Centre for the State.

Raghava Reddy has asked TDP, BJP, and Jana Sena party members to work hard to ensure his father’s victory. He has promised to focus on developing the Ongole Parliamentary constituency by being available to the people.

There were rumors that Raghava would be given the Ongole ticket by TDP this time. Both Raghava and his father recently left the YSRCP. They are involved in the Delhi liquor policy scam and have become approvers in the case.
