Polling in the Old City of Hyderabad for the Lok Sabha elections was slow on Monday, with only 10.70% turnout. Bahadurpura had 8.20%, Goshamahal had 10.18%, and Karwan had 10.20% voter turnout.
In other areas, Charminar had 11%, Chandrayanagutta had 11.02%, Malakpet had 11.78%, and Yakutpura had 12.40% turnout.
Despite efforts by election authorities, public representatives, candidates, and community leaders to raise awareness, people did not show up to vote.
Abdul Samad, a voter from Ramnasthpura in Bahadurpura, went to cast his vote with his wife around 11:45 am. Due to the low turnout, they were able to complete the process in less than five minutes. According to Abdul Samad, there were only six or seven people at the Govt school polling station, making the voting process quick and easy.
