Explaining the breakdown of funds and beneficiaries, the Collector said, “Loan waiver installments for the first and second phases were released to banks, creating a festival-like atmosphere among farmers. A total of Rs 476.30 crore has been distributed to 72,615 farmers in these phases.”

Specifically, Rs 258.18 crore went to nearly 49,700 farmers in the first phase, and Rs 218.12 crore to about 22,915 farmers in the second phase.

The Collector emphasized the need for authorities to ensure all deserving farmers benefit from the scheme. He also noted that around 1,100 applications from farmers who haven’t received benefits are being addressed by concerned officials.

Farmers who have not yet benefited from the scheme are advised to contact their local agricultural officers with their Aadhaar cards to resolve any issues. Additionally, a grievance cell will be set up at district and mandal levels to help farmers.

The Collector urged agricultural authorities to make sure every eligible farmer in their operational areas gets the benefits. He also called on bank officials to cooperate in extending farm loans to eligible farmers under the State government’s loan waiver scheme and to approve new loans for peasant families.
