The moment was captured on camera as Schwartz could be seen rolling her eyes back before collapsing. Initially, the news anchors were unaware of what was happening, but they quickly realized and rushed for help before cutting to a commercial break.
A pre-recorded program was aired as the segment did not return to live. Hours later, CBS Los Angeles Vice President and News Director Mike Dello Stritto gave an update about her health to TMZ, stating that Schwartz is being treated at the hospital and that they are praying for her to feel better soon.
This is not the first time Schwartz has suffered a medical condition during a live broadcast. In 2014, she vomited on set during a weather report and was diagnosed with a leaky heart valve.
Many well-wishers took to social media to wish Schwartz a speedy recovery. The weatherwoman later posted a story on Instagram thanking her well-wishers and assuring her viewers that she is going to be okay.
