This year, 250 clay Ganesha idols were distributed by the Indian Red Cross Society and another 250 clay idols were distributed by the Lions Club of Mulugu.

As part of environmental protection, people are being educated about the benefits of using clay Ganapatis instead of color ones. The Mulugu district DMHO and Indian Red Cross Chairman, Dr. Allam Appiah, and Mulugu DSP Ravinder participated in the distribution program as chief guests and handed out clay Ganapati idols to the people.
