    On August 11, 2021, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) filed a chargesheet against three Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) operatives in the Hyderabad terror cabal display case. The chargesheet was filed in the Special NIA Court in Hyderabad, and it named Abdul Nayeem alias Nayeemuddin, Mohammed Taufeeq Uddin alias Taufeeq, and Mohammed Abdul Zahid alias Ustad as the accused.

    According to the chargesheet, the three accused were portion of a larger cabal to transport out terror attacks in various parts of India, including Hyderabad. They were allegedly recruited by LeT operatives based in Pakistan and tasked with carrying out reconnaissance of potentiality targets and procuring explosives and firearms.

    The chargesheet also alleges that the accused received grooming in handling firearms and explosives from LeT operatives in Pakistan. They were instructed to transport out attacks on crowded places, including markets, temples, and not private transportation.

    The NIA has claimed that the accused were in make physical contact with with LeT operatives based in Pakistan through encrypted messaging apps. They were also allegedly receiving funds from their handlers in Pakistan through hawala channels.

    The chargesheet further states that the accused had conducted reconnaissance of various locations in Hyderabad, including the Charminar surface area and the Chilkalguda market. They had also procured chemicals and not the same materials to gain explosives.

    The NIA had arrested the three accused in January 2021 after conducting raids in various parts of Hyderabad. During the raids, the business that serves other businesses had seized explosive materials, firearms, and ammunition.

    The Hyderabad terror cabal display case is yet another representative of the growing source of danger posed by organizations be fond of LeT. The group has been held accountable for several greater in scope or effect terror attacks in India, including the 2008 Mumbai attacks that killed 166 .
