BJP Parliamentary Board member Dr. K Laxman criticized the police for their actions against party activists who were protesting at MLA camp offices. He accused the police of making arrests and using force against BJP leaders and supporters who were standing up for the people’s demands. Dr. Laxman mentioned instances where a dalit leader and a former MLA were injured, and Mahila Morcha leaders were also attacked by BRS goons. He compared the state government’s actions to the rule of the Nizam and expressed frustration at their response to protests calling for the implementation of farm loan waivers.
Dr. Laxman also brought up Chief Minister KCR’s statement about MLAs taking a cut in disbursing the Dalith Bandhu scheme and questioned why they were given tickets to contest in the upcoming Assembly elections. He claimed that BRS leaders are hiding as people across the state have been protesting for various demands such as free education and welfare for marginalized communities. Dr. Laxman expressed confidence that the people will reject BRS in the elections.
He accused KCR of forgetting his promises to the people and wanting to rule the state like a dictator. Dr. Laxman emphasized that BJP cadre will not back down despite any repression or violence and will continue to oppose BRS, much like how the Nizam was overthrown. The party plans to organize a protest called “Chalo Hyderabad” on September 7 to fight for people’s rights and hold BRS accountable for their electoral promises.
