Principal Secretary to Telangana Government (Education Department) Burra Venkatesham spoke at the launch event of ‘Jignasa-student study projects’ about the importance of encouraging students to think like researchers from a young age. He believes this will not only help students grow into good individuals but also contribute to making society a better place. Venkatesham mentioned that ‘Jignasa’ aims to cultivate a scientific mindset among students and promised to help publish the best projects in national and international journals. A total of 1,033 study projects were submitted from 145 Government Degree Colleges (GDCs), involving around 5,200 students.

Out of these projects, 290 were chosen for the State level presentation lasting three days, with the participation of 1,556 students. TSCHE chairman Professor R Limbadri mentioned the council’s support for higher education institutions, especially GDCs, through financial aid for faculty training, NAAC accreditation, and organizing various events like seminars and workshops.
