Land Acquisition Begins for Hyderabad Infrastructure Projects
The land acquisition process has started for major infrastructure projects in Hyderabad under the Hyderabad City Innovative and Transformative Infrastructure (H-CITI) programme. This project, also called H-CT, has a budget of Rs 7,032 crore and aims to reduce traffic congestion in the city.
The H-CT project focuses on improving Hyderabad’s infrastructure by widening roads, building flyovers, constructing underpasses, and enhancing stormwater drainage systems. These developments are expected to make commuting easier and improve essential city facilities.
On Wednesday, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Additional Commissioner Shivakumar Naidu reviewed the progress of land acquisition at several locations in the Secunderabad zone. Officials inspected key sites, including the Patigadda Road over Bridge (RoB), Rasulpura Flyover, an alternative road around AOC in Secunderabad, and the RK Puram and Chilakalguda Road under Bridge (RUB). These projects aim to ease traffic congestion and improve connectivity in the city.
