Gadwal: Arrests During Effigy Burning
In the Iza mandal center, an effigy of Revanth Reddy was burned. During this event, BRS Jogulamba Gadwal District Coordinator Kuruva Pallayya and Alampur constituency leader Premlatha were arrested by Iza mandal SI Vijay Bhaskar and the police.
Kuruva Pallayya, the BRS Jogulamba Gadwal District Coordinator, said that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s recent comments in the assembly insulted women MLAs and the entire women’s community.
Pallayya mentioned that Revanth Reddy’s remarks about Sabitha Indra Reddy and Sunitha Lakshma Reddy, who have served many times as MLAs and ministers, were inappropriate. He criticized Reddy for speaking in such a manner, especially given his position as Chief Minister.
He emphasized that in Indian families, women are highly respected. Pallayya referred to the saying, “Yatra Naryastu Pujyante – Tatra Ramante Devata,” highlighting the importance of respecting women. He condemned Revanth Reddy’s speech as reflecting low-level politics.
Pallayya demanded that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy apologize to the women MLAs. He warned that if Reddy does not apologize, he will face consequences.
BRS leaders Chinna, Raju, Ramesh, and others also participated in the event.
