Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao expressed concern after 35 students from the Social Welfare Gurukul boys hostel in Sirpur were diagnosed with fevers within just two days. On Tuesday, he called on Health Minister C Damodar Rajanarasimha to take immediate action by setting up medical camps in residential and government schools across Telangana.
Rao took to the social media platform X, highlighting this as part of an ongoing crisis in residential schools across the state. He mentioned that from Kodada to Asifabad, students are being neglected, while Chief Minister Revanth Reddy remains silent.
“I demand the government take necessary measures to ensure more students don’t fall sick. Sending these unwell students home with their parents is irresponsible. The government should ensure that all of them receive proper medical care,” Rao said. He urged the Health Minister to act quickly and ensure the safety of students.
In a separate issue, KT Rama Rao criticized the government over the delay in the promised loan waivers for farmers. He specifically pointed out that none of the 499 farmers in Pentlavelli village in Nagarkurnool district had received the promised loan waiver.
Rao accused the Chief Minister of making false claims about completing the loan waiver, stating that if even one farmer had not received the waiver, the CM’s promises were deceptive. He demanded that the loans of these farmers be waived immediately, questioning the repeated delays in fulfilling the government’s commitments.
