The third assembly of Telangana had its first meeting where the newly elected MLAs took their oaths. Akbaruddin, a senior MLA and Protem Speaker, administered the oath to the new members. Anumula Revanth Reddy, the first Chief Minister, was sworn in as a member of the assembly. Following him, Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka, Seethakka, and the rest of the ministers took their oaths. After that, the MLAs took their oaths.

During the proceedings, former minister KTR made a special request to the Legislative Assembly Secretary. KTR, who is also a former minister and Sirisilla MLA, explained that he couldn’t take his oath as an MLA due to his father, former CM KCR’s surgery. He asked for another day to take his oath along with 4-5 other MLAs who were absent.

KTR shared on X that he couldn’t attend the BRS Legislative Assembly meeting and the oath-taking ceremony because of his father’s health condition. He expressed his request to the Assembly Secretary for an alternative date.

Meanwhile, CM KCR was admitted to Somajiguda Yashoda Hospital after slipping at Erravelli farmhouse. Doctors discovered an injury on his left hip during medical tests and successfully performed hip replacement surgery. Currently, CM KCR is under doctor’s supervision for treatment. Doctors stated that his health is stable and he is expected to fully recover in 6 to 8 weeks.
