    The Minister for Municipal and Urban Development in Telangana, K Taraka Ramarao, spoke at a conference in London called ‘Ideas for India’. He said that India could achieve what China has done in 30 years in just 20 years. He also spoke about the progress that Telangana has made in the last nine years and how it is an idea whose time has come. The Minister also talked about Hyderabad, which is home to many tech companies and is an emerging hub for innovation.

    Ramarao believes that India needs to focus on the basics and fundamentals like Telangana has done. He also thinks that India should focus on the farmer and youth while creating a future based on innovation, making India a leader in the fourth Industrial Revolution. The Minister highlighted the achievements of Telangana in various sectors and mentioned the novel policies and unique schemes introduced by the government.

    Ramarao also pointed out that India has many natural advantages, including natural resources and human resources. He believes that India should capitalise on the demographic dividend, as 67% of the population are in the age group of 15 to 64, which is the highest number of working populations any country has ever had.

    In conclusion, Ramarao believes that Telangana’s model is an idea whose time has come and that India needs to focus on the basics and fundamentals while creating a future based on innovation to become a leader in the fourth Industrial Revolution.
