Hyderabad: K T Rama Rao, the IT Minister and BRS working president, stated that Rahul Gandhi’s membership of Lok Sabha was canceled for insulting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s surname. He also questioned what action will be taken against Bandi Sanjay, who insulted Telangana Chief Minister.

Rahul Gandhi’s comment about thieves having Modi as their last name caused controversy, leading to a court sentencing him to two years in prison. As a result, his Lok Sabha membership was revoked by the Speaker. However, the Supreme Court later stayed the sentence, and Rahul Gandhi’s membership was reinstated by the Speaker. KTR raised concerns about the lack of action taken against Bandi Sanjay for his comments.
