The Telangana State government plans to build a new expressway from Manchirevula to Nagole, covering a distance of 55 km over River Musi. This project aims to improve connectivity between the western and eastern parts of Hyderabad, reducing traffic congestion. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 10,000 crore. Additionally, 14 bridges will be constructed along the Musi River.
Inaugurating the Outer Ring Road (ORR) Narsingi interchange, Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao also opened a Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) with a capacity of 15 MLD. The STP, built by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB), cost Rs 66.16 crore. By September, Hyderabad aims to become the first city in the country to treat 100% of its wastewater. The government plans to introduce a Waste Water Recycling Policy.
The ORR Narsingi interchange, constructed by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) at a cost of Rs 29.50 crore, will provide relief to commuters traveling to Manchirevula, Kokapet, Gandipet, Shankarpally, Langar Houz, and surrounding areas.
The inauguration event was attended by Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy, MA&UD Special Chief Secretary Arvind Kumar, Serilingampally MP Ranjith Reddy, Rajendra Nagar MLA Prakash Goud, and others.
