Hyderabad: BRS (Bharat Rashtra Samithi) working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) has announced that he will begin a State-wide ‘padayatra’ (foot march) to expose the failures of the Congress party. He made this announcement on the social media platform X while interacting with users and answering their questions.

When a user pointed out that leaders from various political parties were taking up padayatras to strengthen their parties and highlight the failures of governments, KTR confirmed that he would also be undertaking such a march.

During the interaction, KTR heavily criticized the Congress government, calling it a “curse” for Telangana. He stated that the Congress regime was like a rule “from Delhi, to Delhi, for Delhi” and that it was his responsibility to fight for the people of Telangana. He expressed concern that it would be difficult for the state to recover from the damage caused by the Congress’s rule but remained confident that the BRS would come to power.

KTR also criticized the Congress for making false promises and said that the party had started political harassment to cover up its failures. However, he noted that no one feared these tactics. He predicted that the Congress would lose power after four years, but the real challenge would be repairing the damage they had caused.

The BRS leader also spoke out against the practice of dragging family members into politics, stating that during their ten years in power, his party had never targeted anyone’s family. He admitted that he felt emotional enough to consider leaving politics when his family was personally attacked. This, he said, was something that hurt him deeply.

Finally, KTR accused the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HYDRA) of being tough on the poor while ignoring large real estate developers.
