Hyderabad: The BRS working president KT Rama Rao questioned the actions of the Congress party in a series of tweets on Friday. He asked who was responsible for the deaths of thousands of children in Telangana and why a martyrs memorial needed to be built. Rao also highlighted incidents from the past, such as the shooting at city college in 1952 and the killing of 370 children during the movement in 1969-71.

Rao praised party leaders Konduri Ravinder Rao and Gongidi Mahender Reddy for resigning from their TSCAB posts. He commended them for following the path of BRS chief KCR and not succumbing to pressure to join the Congress party. Rao noted their contributions to the cooperative sector of the state, as they had managed the co-operative banks effectively during their tenure.
