    In New Delhi and Hyderabad, BRS working president KT Rama Rao criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his stance on defections in Telangana. He said that when politicians switch parties while talking about upholding the Constitution, it goes against the spirit of the Constitution.

    KTR, along with senior leaders KR Suresh Reddy and T Harish Rao, held a press conference in New Delhi where he accused Rahul Gandhi of having double standards on defections. He mentioned Rahul Gandhi’s promises in the Paanch Nyay document to strengthen anti-defection laws, but pointed out that in Telangana, Congress was engaging in unfair practices.

    During a speech in Tukkuguda, Hyderabad, Rahul Gandhi had stated that defectors’ memberships would be terminated. However, at the same event, BRS MLAs defected to Congress.
