Hyderabad’s Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao announced on Monday that silt carting machines, which transport sewage waste, will now be available to improve sanitation services for the city’s residents. The Minister personally handed over the silt carting machines to the beneficiaries during an event near the statue of Dr BR Ambedkar. Rao praised Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for leading Telangana State in a way that follows the principles of Mahatma Gandhi, considering all sections of society regardless of caste or religion. He emphasized that the state’s administration has been carried out smoothly and without conflicts.

Rao further explained that CM KCR has been implementing various welfare schemes and programs in the state, with Dalit Bandhu being a revolutionary initiative. As part of this initiative, 162 silt cart vehicles have been provided to Dalits for employment within the water board. This move is expected to create job opportunities for approximately 500 individuals. The water board will assign work to each vehicle and cover expenses such as driver wages, maintenance, and staff costs.
