Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao criticized the arrest of a journalist at Osmania University. He called for the immediate release of the journalist and stated that attacks on journalists will not be accepted.

Rao questioned the lack of security for journalists in the ‘Praja Palana’. He found the illegal arrest of the reporter and cameraman covering the DSC candidates’ agitation at OU to be outrageous. He asked if it was a crime for journalists to cover news and show the protest of unemployed youth on DSC.

He also mentioned the misbehaviour towards women journalists at Balkampet Yellamma temple and the arrest of a Zee News reporter. Rao questioned if it was acceptable to use force on journalists and demanded their immediate and unconditional release.
