Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao has condemned the arrest of party corporators and criticized the Congress government for suppressing voices that highlight its shortcomings.

KTR expressed his disapproval over the arrests, questioning the logic behind targeting corporators who raise public issues. “Will you arrest those who point out problems? Will you silence those who speak up on behalf of the people?” he asked, accusing the Congress government of attempting to stifle dissent.

He further alleged that the ruling party could not handle being confronted over the inefficiency of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC). According to KTR, the Congress resorted to silencing BRS corporators simply because they opposed its deceptive practices.
