Senior Congress leader Mohammed Ali Shabbir Ali strongly criticized Minister K Tarakarama Rao for using derogatory language against him and other Congress leaders during his visit to Kamareddy and Yellareddy on August 14. Shabbir Ali held a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan where he highlighted the shutdown of shops and establishments in the area during KTR’s visit. He mentioned the heavy security presence, with personnel even stationed on rooftops. People were not allowed to leave their homes, and Congress leaders were detained and held in police stations. Shabbir Ali accused KTR of smothering democracy and questioned the excessive security measures taken for his visit. He also reminded everyone that it was the Congress party that gave political birth to Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and criticized KTR for his arrogant behavior. Shabbir Ali confidently stated that the Congress would win the next Assembly elections, challenging KTR’s arrogance.
