The working president of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi, KTR, has called on Singareni employees to hold protests against the Centre’s decision to auction coal blocks. In a separate tweet, KTR challenged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to name a state that has performed better than Telangana in the last nine years. Despite Telangana’s achievements, KTR claimed that the Prime Minister has refused to acknowledge the state for petty politics.
KTR listed out Telangana’s accomplishments, including the highest per capita growth in India, providing drinking water to all homes, completing the world’s largest lift irrigation project, and having the best rural development model in India with 100 percent Open Defecation Free (ODF) plus villages. Telangana is also the second-highest paddy producer in India and the highest number of IT jobs creating state in India.
Additionally, KTR claimed that Telangana has the highest green cover growth of 7.7 per cent in India and won the second-highest number of awards for municipalities in India. The state is among the top four contributing states to Indian GDP and is a top-three ranked state in Ease of Doing Business. Telangana also has the best industrial policy in India and is home to India’s largest textile park – Kakatiya Mega Textile Park (KMTP).
Furthermore, Telangana is the vaccine hub of the world and has the highest per capita power consumption in India. It is the second-largest renewable energy producer in India and has one of the lowest Debt – GSDP ratios in India. Hyderabad, the capital city of Telangana, has been rated by Mercer as the Best Indian city five years in a row: 2015-20.
KTR also stated that Telangana has the lowest corruption in India as per the latest survey of the Centre for the Study of Developing Societies (CSDS). The state has also won many international accolades.
