KTR Challenges Revanth Reddy to Lie Detector Test

Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) on Thursday dared Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to undergo a lie detector test over allegations related to ACB and ED cases.

Speaking to reporters after his appearance at the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office, KTR referred to a news report claiming Rs 8 crore was being spent on the inquiry. He accused Revanth Reddy of imposing similar accusations on him due to his own pending cases. KTR proposed that both leaders take a lie detector test to save public money. “Instead of spending Rs 8 to 10 crore, we can finish this with Rs 20 lakh and even use the savings to help 500 farmers,” he said. “Let us sit before a judge or even at your Jubilee Hills palace for the test. People will see the truth and know who is guilty,” KTR added.

KTR also expressed his willingness to cooperate fully with the ED investigation. He stated, “I will appear for inquiry as many times as the ED calls me. Justice will prevail. We have confidence in the judiciary, and we have not committed any wrongdoing. Not a single rupee of corruption is involved, and I will continue to cooperate wholeheartedly.”

The BRS leader firmly denied any allegations of corruption in the case. “Where is the laundering if the money is safe? There is no evidence of corruption, not even a single rupee. As a law-abiding citizen, I am ready to answer any questions. There is nothing to hide,” KTR asserted.

Earlier in the day, KTR defended his decision to host the Formula E event in Hyderabad, calling it one of his proudest moments as a minister. He emphasized that all financial transactions related to the event were transparent. “The Rs 46 crore paid to Formula E Operations Limited (FEO) was transferred through a clear bank-to-bank process. Not a single rupee was misappropriated, and every rupee is accounted for,” KTR explained.

He criticized CM Revanth Reddy for canceling the second year of the Formula E event, calling it a “thoughtless and unilateral decision.” KTR claimed this cancellation caused financial losses to the state. “The event brought international attention to Hyderabad, and the praise from global racers and e-mobility leaders made it a proud moment for our city,” he said.

KTR reiterated his confidence in his decisions and his commitment to transparency, saying he had nothing to fear from the ongoing inquiry.
