BRS working president KT Rama Rao criticized the Congress party for promoting defections, calling them hypocritical. He stated that the ruling party in the State has been hypocritical from the Emergency period to the present day.
KTR pointed out that 49 years ago on this day, the Congress party imposed an Emergency in the country, suppressing people’s voices and civil rights. He mentioned that even now, the Congress party continues to undermine democracy.
The BRS working president highlighted the contradiction of Congress leaders holding up copies of the Constitution in Parliament to show support for it, while at the same time encouraging party defections in their party office nearby. He described this as going against the spirit of the Constitution.
