KT Rama Rao Questions Congress on Ties with Adani Group
BRS working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) has called on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to take action against his party’s dealings with the Adani Group in Telangana. He urged Gandhi to instruct the Telangana Congress leadership, including State Chief A Revanth Reddy, to immediately cancel all agreements with the business conglomerate.
During a press conference, KTR pointed out inconsistencies in the Congress party’s stance on the Adani Group. While Rahul Gandhi has been vocal about alleged corrupt practices by Adani at the national level, KTR criticized him for remaining silent about the Telangana Congress’s partnerships with the group. He questioned the hypocrisy in these conflicting positions.
KTR revealed that the Telangana government had entered into agreements worth Rs 12,400 crore with the Adani Group. These include investments in green energy, data centers, and cement industries. He challenged the Congress to clarify how they could label Adani as corrupt in Delhi while maintaining business ties in Telangana.
The BRS leader also alleged that the Congress accepted a Rs 100 crore donation from the Adani Group for Telangana Skills University. He demanded that the party return the donation if it truly stands by its accusations against Adani. KTR further questioned whether Congress leaders genuinely support the demand for Adani’s arrest or if they are complicit in the alleged irregularities.
Through his remarks, KTR called on the Congress to prove its sincerity by acting consistently on its claims about corruption.
