BJP Member of Parliament Dr K Laxman questioned Telangana Industries Minister K T Rama Rao on why the state government has not made any efforts to encourage industrialists to establish a steel factory in Bayyaram. Speaking to the media, Laxman criticised the Minister’s comments belittling BJP leaders, stating that they stem from a sense of arrogance. He dismissed allegations against the Centre and suggested that the Minister’s foreign education and American accent were irrelevant. Laxman, who studied in Telangana from kindergarten to postgraduate level, accused KTR of speaking lies and using colourful language to mislead people. He pointed out that the AP Reorganisation Act-2014 only provides for a feasibility study on infrastructure development for a steel factory in Khammam in Telangana and Kadapa in Andhra Pradesh. The AP government successfully convinced Jindal Steel to establish a factory in Kadapa, but the Telangana government has not taken any steps to do the same in Bayyaram.
KTR asks Laxman for reasons behind failure to convince Jindal’s like AP
