Hyderabad: KT Rama Rao, the working president of BRS, strongly criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his comments on the formation of Telangana. Rao stated that Modi’s repeated remarks about Telangana formation show his disrespect for historical facts and hurt the sentiments of the people. He emphasized that the people of Telangana had fought for six decades to achieve statehood, which was finally realized on June 2, 2014. Rao highlighted the sacrifices made by the youth of Telangana during this journey.

Rao further expressed his disagreement with Modi’s suggestion that Telangana did not celebrate its statehood. He called it factually incorrect and criticized the Prime Minister for being ignorant and arrogant. Rao urged political leaders in important positions to approach sensitive historical matters with empathy and understanding, considering the emotions and sacrifices associated with them.
