Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao believes that the city should aim to host the Olympics in 2036. He expressed this during a speech to the United Federation of Resident Welfare Association in Hyderabad. KTR also highlighted the achievements of the BRS government in Telangana over the past 10 years.
KTR mentioned that the BRS government plans to appoint Additional Special Commissioners for the development and maintenance of parks and water bodies after the elections. He also stated that Hyderabad will be promoted as a potential host for the Olympics in 2036. KTR emphasized that Hyderabad no longer faces water shortages, thanks to the efforts of CM KCR.
The BRS leader proudly stated that under their government, Hyderabad has remained free from communal riots or regional disturbances. They are also working towards achieving UNESCO’s World Heritage City status for Hyderabad.
KTR highlighted the progress made by the state over the past 9.5 years, including surpassing Bengaluru in tech job creation and becoming the vaccine capital of the world. He also mentioned that one job in the IT or technology sector creates three to four indirect jobs in hospitality, tourism, and construction.
To conclude, KTR compared Hyderabad to a reliable car on a journey to Vijayawada, suggesting that there’s no need to switch to something new if everything is working well.
